If you are interested in helping out with animal rescue, you might consider
contacting a rescuer in your own area and offer assistance with fostering,
grooming, transporting animals, doing home checks, fund raising etc. If
you are unable to help due to time constraints maybe you can help by making
a donation. Donations are always needed and appreciated! Most rescue groups
fund most expenses incurred by their rescues out of their own pockets which
it can be quite costly. Besides monetary donations other items usually
needed are collars, leashes, blankets, dog beds, crates, carriers, exercise
pens, bowls, towels, flea treatments, grooming supplies, first aid supplies
etc.
Use the Shelter Dog Rescue list located at map.htm
to a find a rescuer (or rescue group) that is closest to your geographical
area. Most rescue groups would be very happy to receive additional help!
If you have no animal rescuers in your area, you might consider assisting
an all breed rescue group or volunteering at a local shelter... that too
can be very rewarding.
